What's Going On
Morning Prayer
You may have noticed that Morning Prayer is now being said in church at 8.30am on Mondays and Thursdays. This is a later start time in the hope that others may wish to join in with this short half an hour service, held in the side chapel, with an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity to start the day. Please speak to Revd Peter for more details.

Lent Books 22nd February – 8th April
We may just be coming to the end of Epiphany but our next Church festival period, Lent, begins in just a few weeks time. As last year, we are recommending two books that you may find useful as part of your journey through Lent. Review copies are at the back of the Church along with an order sheet should you wish to sign up.

Prayers For Today
Collect: Almighty God, who alone can bring order to the unruly wills and passions of sinful humanity: give your people grace so to love what you command and to desire what you promise, that, among the many changes of this world, our hearts may surely there be fixed where true joys are to be found; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
Alternative Collect: Eternal God, whose Son went among the crowds and brought healing with his touch: help us to show his love, in your Church as we gather together, and by our lives as they are transformed into the image of Christ our Lord.
Post Communion Prayer: Merciful Father, who gave Jesus Christ to be for us the bread of life, that those who come to him should never hunger: draw us to the Lord in faith and love, that we may eat and drink with him at his table in the kingdom, where he is alive and reigns, now and for ever.
Prayer for our village: As we continue to pray for our village street by street, during February we remember all who live on Lee Rise,Lockley close,Main St, Markfield Rd, Martin Square,Meadow Close
Prayer for our Diocese: Unless the eye catch fire; God will not be seen. Unless the ear catch fire; God will not be heard. Unless the tongue catch fire; God will not be named. Unless the heart catch fire; God will not be loved. Unless the mind catch fire; God will not be known.
