What’s Going On
The Autumn Bazaar is next Saturday from 11am
This is the second biggest event in our calendar after the garden fete and we are hoping to encourage many people in the community to come along to the Bazaar and for our Christmas Tree festival that day. So please can everybody please support and bring your family and friends!
Needed for the Autumn Bazaar
We need washed out jars with lids to use in a children’s tombola. Also required are donations of sweets and small toys to put into the jars. Many thanks, Serena.
Please also bring bottles for the bottle stall and any other contributions for the various stalls: books; toys and cakes for the cake stall.
We need help setting up the church rooms on Friday evening from 7.30pm
Festival Concert by the Desford Singers Next Sunday evening
Next Sunday evening at 7pm will be a concert by the Desford Singers, featuring choral praise classics. Entry is £5 with refreshments provided at the end.
Christmas Tree Festival
The Christmas Tree festival will be held 22nd, 23rd, 24th Nov. The theme for each tree is a depiction of a favourite television programme. The festival is open 11am to 4pm Sat and 11.30 to 4pm Sun and Mon. Volunteers are needed to be in church during these times.
Guest Preacher next week
Next Sunday at 10am our preacher will be the Revd Michael Forster, Chaplain for the Leicestershire mental health and learning disabilities healthcare trust.
